NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course

Location: High Desert Marksmen Range (Black Powder/Small-bore Range)

If you are new Shooter this course will provide you with the basic fundamentals of rifle shooting to increase your knowledge and skills.
The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course consisting of instruction and a hands-on practical portion at the range under the guidance and supervision of an NRA Certified Instructor. This course is eight hours of instruction in the Basic of Rifle Shooting NRA book, exam and hands on shooting.
Some of the topics in the course include: rifle safety, parts, operation, ammunition, fundamentals of rifle shooting, cleaning, storage, and training opportunities.

Course Goal: To teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely.
To qualify for the class you need to be 21 years or older. If you are under 21 please contact Chuck Sparks.  

The class will be held at the Desert Marksman on the Black Powder/Small Bore range, you should bring lunch and drinks as no services are available on site. You may want to bring a folding chair to sit in (there are some picnic tables located at the range, but seating is limited.
You will need: eye and hearing protection, a rifle in .22 caliber rimfire and a minimum of two hundred rounds (200) of ammunition for the rifle you will use. If you do not have a .22 Caliber rimfire rifle please contact Chuck Sparks
