Small Bore

Small Bore Discipline:

Want to have fun and learn to shoot. Come out to the Small Bore Discipline and get started on a great activity. Small Bore will be using .22 caliber rimfire ammunition and firearms a majority of the time.  We will be having NRA Basic Pistol and NRA Basic Rifle training courses. When we do not have a course running we will be working on Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualifications. These will be shooting events to help get your Pro-Marksman, Marksman, Marksman First Class, Sharpshooter, Expert, and Distinguished Expert Qualifications and Rocker patches. Once you feel you are ready for more challenges Desert Marksmen has other disciplines you can try out. Once you start shooting you will get hooked and want to try other activities and different types of firearms.

Courses:
Basic Pistol and Basic Rifle courses will be on the Desert Marksmen Calendar.  Cost for courses will be based on going rate for NRA Courses with a considerable   discount for Desert Marksmen Members.

Shooting Events:
Winchester/NRA Shooting events will be $10.00 for Desert Marksmen Members and $20.00 for non-members.

Targets:
There will be an assortment of targets used from 8 inch and 10 inch paper plates to NRA AP-1, AP-2, A-23, A-25, and A-27 Cardboard and paper targets.

How do I find out when where and what Small Bore is doing.
Best information will be on the Desert Marksmen Calendar. At this time all Small Bore events will be on the Second Sunday of the month. Training will be on calendar and you will be able to sign up on the website under Training & Classes.
